Allt an t-Sionnaich - 29th March 2012

Allt an t-Sionnaich is the (ruined) farm in lower Gleann Gheallaidh, on the right-bank of Uisge Gheallaidh a short distance upstream from its confulence with the Dé.  With its main buildings certainly above 1,375 ft., Allt an t-Sionnaich may have been the highest farm in Scotland.  Allt an t-Sionnaich stands astride the burn from which it takes its name at its confluence with Uisge Gheallaidh.

As a place name Allt an t-Sionnaich means - burn of the fox.
